Website Policies

The City of Allen maintains this website for access to city information. Continual changes are made to this website, and therefore, the information is subject to change, be removed, or moved elsewhere on the site. The website is maintained as the primary and most updated source for all information. However, crisis events, technical issues, and staffing situations may occur that could impact the ability to update information. Website and Social Media Use as Public Forum

Official public forums take place as part of open public meetings and public hearing processes. City Council meetings always include Citizen's Comments as part of the agenda and public hearing notices are posted on the city's homepage. The city's website and social media platforms or the selection of any external sites linked to the city website are not intended to serve or provide as an official public forum or provide a substitute for the City meeting or public hearing process. 

Legal Notification to City of Allen

Except to the extent required by law, communication made through email and message systems shall in no way be deemed to constitute legal notice to the City of Allen or any of its agencies, officers, employees, agents or representatives relating to any existing or potential claim against the city where notice to the city is required by any federal, state or local laws rules or regulations.
